Good point!I would worry more about them towing it. Get back from the evening hunt wondering if you parked at some other mile marker........

It's more the railroad companies worried about getting sued if their train hits someone than the State that wants the trespassing laws enforced. They make it pretty clear around here that walking the tracks is trespassing, but I've rarely seen any LEOs in a position to enforce it.I dont think anyone would care if you walk down the tracks around here as long as you move when a train comes.
We hunt the RR ROWS here.I drive along railroad tracks and park in a railroad pull off to get to my duck blind and no one has bothered me but it is criminal trespass. I figure if crack heads can hide along the tracks so can I lol!
As far as parking along controlled access highways I would def not do it. Good chance of a ticket, being towed or most likely both. If a highway does not have private driveways entering it and has exits it is controlled.
That's good to know, things are different where I work. Guess I will be parking on the side of the highway this fall.A trooper will ticket a vehicle that is parked off of the side of a interstate highway but the ticket is generally for the vehicle to be removed within a certain amount of time or it will be towed.
So are you saying you're going to violate the law? That's good to know, things are different where I work. Guess I will be parking on the side of the highway this fall.
I mow the weeds on their right of way that borders a property I own. If they ever complain about me trespassing Im going to tell them to mow their own weeds so I dont have to!! lolIt's more the railroad companies worried about getting sued if their train hits someone than the State that wants the trespassing laws enforced. No, I def wouldn't lol! I'm fairly sure I would get towed. I'm fairly sure parking on a limited access highway is frowned upon anywhere in the US.So are you saying you're going to violate the law?
