Native Indian tribes painted the leather, antlers, horns etc. of the animals they killed. I don't think people consider that disrespectful. Not really my taste but I could see a market for this kind of thing.

Just a thought you may be on to something here. I see tons of old taxidermy that people don't want. Lots of em in bad shape. I think this is a pretty good way to reclaim, sell for profit. These would sell in all the high end Colorado ski towns, and get a very nice price to more than cover cost and make a solid profit that would be worth the effort.

Maybe a tiara like the one on my teenage daughter's buck is more to some folk's liking. Isn't it pretty!

Ivory she's a great lab, I just don't hunt her enough. I bought her as a failed field trail pup at eight months old. Trained for hand signals and whistle. The best thing I ever did.image.jpg
