It's snowing so hard here I'm not sure I could see my target at 30 yards... I do plan to resume shooting once it warms up next week.

I've been shooting some, but the weather hasn't been very nice lately. I can go to the local club and shoot 40yds inside.

You are right, but during this time not safe to go out. If you can go then be safe.
That's the advantage of shooting a bow over a firearm. Most of us are able to do some archery practice in our own yard. Luckily for me, I have a 200 yard range on my own property, and can extend that to 400 yards if I block off my driveway. Noise is another factor to consider.

Our small town has an ordinance against shooting a bow in the city limits unless it is an approved deer "cull hunt." As a police officer I was called by a neighbor reporting a dangerous activity. I found the guy had set up his target inside his garage, and was able to shoot down his driveway in a completely safe manner, so I told him to carry on.
