Wasn't planning to go west this fall, I did apply in the draws, for points etc...

Just curious if I have any OTC mule deer hunting options now that the draws have passed?

Looking for a rifle hunt.

Any Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

If not, I think next fall I need to hunt some mulies!

Alot of deer and elk tags left in Idaho still. Thats where Im headed this fall after not drawing anywhere. It is alot closer for me then you though. I plan to explore some new country I have been wanting to see for a while and pulling the trigger will be icing on the cake!

Nebraska is an option: rifle season is usually early to mid rut but only 9 days long. Tags are cheap at $209 plus a habitat stamp ($15-20 can't remember). Quality is not that great.

Idaho I don't know anything about. License fee is 301.75 and 154.50 hunting license.

Montana had surplus but they are all gone now.

If I had my heart set on this year I would closely at Idaho. Lots of guys hunt OTC out there and I'm sure you could get some info from some of the residents that frequent these forums
