My 17 year old has shot a lot of nice toms, and even got a jake with his bow 2 years ago. This morning he got his first mature tom with his bow. Absolutely perfect shot at 25 yards.

My 14 year old was bound and determined to be like his big brother and take a bird with his bow. But after 2 weeks of hunting morning and night, and several missed opportunities, it was time to finish up and get to fishing. Called in 3 toms, the two closest coming in slightly behind the blind. Would have been risky with the bow, so we decided to use the 12 gauge. Felt pretty good to sleep in this morning. Now I only have my buddy’s daughter to tag out.
