For us OnX chip owners why doesn't OnX offer a update for the chips at a price that we can afford?

I am not about to pay for a membership that I am only going to use for a update on one or two of your chips.

Our lowest membership options is the single state Premium for $29.99/year which allows you to update the chip and get access to the information on the phone, tablet, and computer which will have way more information than the chip will have; at the price of less than a tank of gas, it will be one of the cheapest pieces of hunting gear you carry with you. Feel free to give us a call at 406-540-1600 if you have any questions on this.

One thing that would go a long way with a lot of chip owners is to allow the purchase of a update and not a membership that renews unless you go in and stop it.

I have had some of those type of memberships and it is sometimes next to impossible to stop the membership from automatically renewing.

As for most of what other information that you supply most of us don't need it, not to mention don't want to pay for it.

OnX Hunt,

I would like to know if you folks are sharing my saved data with other people.

I would also like to know how the "Hunting Public Youtube Sensation" has now showed up at 2 of the exact same places that I have marked and saved in my way-points on my OnX maps on my phone...... not talking about showing up to a parking lot either.

Ask yourself, what are the odds of, anyone at all, arriving at a specific location, on public land they claim to have never hunted before, and walk within 20 feet of the same place on public ground that I have way-points saved for on your app?

You figure its 1:Trillion? There are ~640 million acres of public land in the CONUS. Call me paranoid but I dont really believe in coincidences. Let alone 2 of them in 1 year...

Thanks.

Well that is a thought? I have nothing to do with OnX, but can not even think of how they could be sharing saved locations. As many users as they have I bet a person would find most public land littered with saved locations.

It would be good to go back and read your user agreement as to what might be shared once you save a location.

Now days you never know, that's why I keep those locations in my head or on a paper map.

No, we do not share your saved locations with anybody. We do not look at anyone's locations in the app or utilize the data in the app to find hunting spots. We’re hunters ourselves so we know the importance of privacy when it comes to hunting locations. Feel free to send us an email to [email protected] if you have any other questions.
