A couple of years ago I was bow hunting on my neigbor's alfalfa field when I saw this mule deer buck. As I was sneaking on a bunch of deer feeding and bedded in the alfalfa, I saw this guy sneaking out the back end. Sorry, for the fuzzy pictures. I was pushing my telephoto to the limit. Anyway, after he jumped the fence he disappeared over the ridge and I never saw him again or talked to anyone who had seen anything like him. I've always wondered if he was just passing thru, moving on to some new country. He didn't have a big spread, but the tine length, mass and body size were terrific.
