I have to disagree as I feel more people would be carrying a gun(criminal act in chicago) then before

Exactly!! They could shoot wolves, criminals, and murderers at the same time!! The only answer to Chicago's crime rate is to allow law abiding people to legally arm themselves.

Oh I know imagine how much there shootings would go down if criminals thought there could be a possibility of getting shot by there target. All the mass shootings of the last 3 years have on thing in common (GUN FREE ZONES).

Hey do any of you guys have experience with a dog being bit by a rattlesnake. My lab has been acting weird from last afternoon. She doesn't want to look up and won't bark anymore. She kind of limps now or so it looks. She eats and drinks fine but seems to be in some pain to me. The only thing I can think of is she got bit but there isn't any swelling or any symptoms of a bite. She has improved a lot from last afternoon but still isn't like she was. Just was curious if you guys think it might be a possibility.

There'd be quite a bit of swelling if bit. Labs are prone to having hip dysplasia and CCL probs. Sore paws or tender nails will make them sluggish as well, but probably need to get her to a vet.

She has bad hips. One has no socket really and the other was 3/4 formed. We keep her at a good light weight and she has medicine so it can help with arthritis. If she doesn't look better by morning we will probably take her in. She was in about 3 weeks ago for her check up and she was fine.

I've seen dogs have problems with black widow & scorpion bites too. A trip to the seems to be in order. The dogs I've seen with snake bites usually have a lot of swelling and pain in the bite area.

Well today she seems maybe a little better. She wouldn't look up like it was too hard but now she does a little. Might take her in. But she hates vets. She gets all anxious, heart starts racing and has to be muzzled because she sometimes will growl.

We called the vet and they are going to run what she is doing by him. Probably are going to bring her in. She is doing what she normally does but just won't look up, bark and she is stiff with her front legs/ neck area.
