Here I am one here instead of sleeping, I've been up since 3. If I draw a Wyoming elk hunt how in the hell am I going to do it solo when my back hurts so bad I can't sleep? It's been a year since I got hurt, it's getting old. I will have to bring a pile of pain killers! I'm getting older, I just need to get tougher I guess. Can't wait for the draw Monday!

It ain't easy getting old!!!! I am 72 and for the last 15 years all the old injuries from playing college sports are coming back to haunt me. When you are young, you are invincible right.....wrong. Just have to tough it out, get good medical care and keep going forward. This Friday I have surgery on my rt ankle, but there will be plenty of time to ready for fall hunting.....I hope.

Thanks for the encouragement CC, I plan of being ready to go by fall! I have been feeling pretty good for a while, till I started Physical Therapy? Isn't that supposed to help? I hurt my upper back trying to strengthen my core, crazy! I'm a mess..

I am getting it "scoped' to take out bone spurs, scar tissue, etc. Dr. says it should buy me 3 to 5 years before I might need a new ankle. 3 to 5....sounds like a prison sentence ..LOL.

Ha Ha, it does! I have a feeling I will be getting re-build little by little as I age. It's a good thing they have the parts these days! I sure tried to take care of myself, but I'm starting to realize that 25 years in the construction industry has taken it's toll on me.

I've had a replacement knee for 12 years. My wife has 2 new knees and 2 new hips. I'm just hoping for technology to advance enough for a new 21 year old body replacement possible before I completely give out!

Years of packing out animals, lifting equipment onto roof tops and just plain being stupid has really be a toll on my back. Blown discs in lower back can make getting out of bed miserable. I was talking to my Chiropractor and he told me some of the best info that changed my life. One don't carry your wallet in your back pocket. Two and the most important is your bed. I had a older bed that was pretty much wore out. We had talked about all the high end beds and to be honest I couldn't believe how much they cost. After we talked he made me realize the cost of back surgery and multiple trips to the ciro that I could justify the cost. I bought a sleep number bed. It has changed my life! Weird to say but it did. This bed is amazing. A great night sleep and being able to get out of bed without rolling out slow and wondering if my back is out or not is well worth the cost.

Just my experience. I also know two other guys that have had back surgery and got the same bed and they say the same thing.

Good luck to you and hope you get the tag.
