Sounds like work, You know it's the weekend right!:)
My life revolves around work. I try to escape it but it haunts me. The other weekend my wife says " lets do whatever you want this weekend. Lets get away from the house and you decide what we do" I said ok and did some research and found a local wildlife group doing a volunteer project just out of town. They were setting up some panels to rid the ferrel cattle in the area so I vouched we go volunteer some time and lend a hand. Guess who raised their hand to be the post hole digger?? Yours truly. I spent my "day off" picking and shoveling holes for rail road ties. I did enjoy volunteering but it was a harsh realization that im usually happiest covered in sweat and gasping for air. :)

Off to Grand Junction tomorrow am for the rest of the week. State Championship cowboy shoot, should be 300 shooters. Also a must stop at Cabelas!!
Just got back. Crashed and burned at the shoot....was 4th. Shotgun reloads.....problem with shell sizing. Fun anyway! Bought new sleeping bag at Cabelas and a new Garmin Oregon 600 GPS.

Rite on with volunteering, I've always wanted to do that as well, but most of the projects to help out the deer are in northern cali, and I'm not going to drive way the hell up there. I'm like you, a workaholic, I work a full time job during the week and do small contracting jobs part time on the weekends for extra funds. I work hard and play/hunt hard!

Do it while your young, I turn 55 on the 15th and can feel myself slowing down just a bit. This heat isn't helping either.
