Very similar to this but I add some diced up potato and used beef broth instead of the bullion and water. And obviously use game meat.

New engine for the blue truck shipped today. Its going the get new radiator, hoses, alternator, belt, starter, distributor, water pump. Pretty much everything under the hood will be new, should be extremely reliable. I?m keeping all the old parts except the radiator in the tool box for backup. I had to cut an elk hunt short a year ago over a broke down ford. That ain?t happening again!

I spent the week in Leadville, CO. That's a kindof neat area. I might have to go play down there sometime. I felt the altitude working a little, though. Just pushing for the 500 pages, lol.

Just got back from the range after firing off about 100 12 ga black powder loads. Used some bad wads and a lot of the powder got soaked with oil. Now got to clean all the solid brass empties and reload them again using the correct wads.

I loaded up some 45 LC rounds with black powder once and only once. I had forgotten just how dirty that stuff can be and how the residue gets all over everything in the pistol. I felt for those gunslingers back in the 1800 when that was all they had to shoot and the cleaning every couple of days to keep the firearm functioning.

You are right about that. I have shot some cap & ball revolvers and they really get cruddy!

I actually don't even pull out my cap and ball revolvers to shoot anymore just for that reason. But they are fun to shoot even if they do take a 1/2 hour to reload.

I didn't even realize that I hit the top of the 500th page.

Now the race is on to 5000 post.
