Turns out the new master cylinder is faulty. Put the old one back on and it works, still pissed. Did find a shed yesterday though! I think it's a Jackalope shed? Too small to be a mule deer.

Two Saturday's in a row I've worked on vehicles. I'm farther behind now than when I started! One is a simple miss on a 350 Chevy, can't figure it out. Never have I not been able to get a 350 to run, it's just sitting there, I gave up one it for now.. Today it is a clutch master cylinder on a Toyota pickup, for the life of me I can't figure out how to get fluid pressure back to the slave cylinder. It has no clutch now, it just has a tiny leak on the master! I should have left well enough alone! I'm pissed...going shed hunting tomorrow, to hell with the mechanic BS!
Around 1978 GM got a bunch of "off spec" cam shafts that would wear through the hard surface on the lobes and the lobes would go flat, (really quick)...........depending on how quick and how many lobes wore down, one of the symptoms was a engine miss you couldn't figure out. I had a 78' 350 that went bad at 75,000 miles. GM never owned up to the poblem and a lot of owners got screwed just after their warranty ran out. If you're working on an old 350, be aware of the cam issue.
I've hated GM since that episode..............I wonder why I have another one sitting in the garage. I don't really like it any better than the 78' I had.

It's a little early and we don't have many where I'm at unless you go out by the Bush airport. If the weather would hold they'd be pretty by mid March though. Surface temp at the lake the other day was 62.

Thanks, I just rebuilt the engine a year or so ago. It only has about 3k miles on it. Took it to a mechanic and it turns out to be a bad valve guide, #5 intake is wobbling all over the place. Seems the guy who did the head work didnt do a very good job?
 Going to pull the engine, take heads to someone else. I may put a new cam/ lifters in while I'm at it. The cam I chose seemed a little milder than I anticipated anyway.

I did get the Toyota runnin! So I'm gaining:D

The things I go though for my girls;)

I sure love the spring! I fell asleep on couch in basement last night with window opened a crack, woke up to the sound of robins and morning doves, something about that sound is just peaceful.
