No elk but had a good time! Walked too far and was sure feeling it each night on the way out. Didnt realize I was walking in nearly 6 miles till I left the gps on going out lastnight. There were elk there, I just didnt have time to figure out how to find them. Most of the tracks were cows and calves. Saw some does and think I bumped a buck twice but it was in timber with no chance to see the deer and 2nd time was in dark. Talked to a guy that saw some cows and missed a buck. He also said a bear tried to dig under their tent and get in while they were in it at night. They had hunted most of the season and hadnt seen any wolves of sign which was good to hear. Good people. They explained where they were camped and said I know its tough to get 1 out alone, if you get anything and need help come get us!!

Sometimes I wonder if folks really know how to score racks....I see pictures with the scores and think no chance in hell. Especially if I have scored animals that look much bigger in pictures but score much less.

Just a random thought, not trying to start s***. I know pictures are deceiving.
