Ours started sat and was able to hunt that AM. Then ended up planting food plots and doing a little shooting for the remainder of Sat-Mon. I swear catering to these deer gets expensive.

A cpl of our places don't have much natural feed in them being 10yo pine plantations that gets sprayed every cpl years. So they get a healthy dose of winter wheat, elbon rye and Austrian winter peas.

I like the natural feeding much cheeper.
I hunted with the stick & string on Sat evening & Sun morning and did a great job of piling up some "yellow attractant". End result was not very promising with 5k acres of hardwoods raining acorns. Much easier to kill them by lobbing bullets across hay fields when the bucks are chasing.

I went out for early ML season here a few times and passed legal bucks every time but never saw anything I wanted to go after. I'll wait for late ML season at the end of Nov and prob shoot the first legal buck I see for the freezer! HAHA!
