This holiday stuff when it falls during the week really messes me up. Off Friday, work Sat to make up then off Sunday and back Monday.

I propose all Holidays get honored on Saturday. :D

I do a lot of shooting. Bulls Eye Pistol - practice Saturday am (when I'm not shooting cowboy) 100 rounds .38 & 100 rounds .22 rimfire. League shoots every Wednesday afternoon/evening - 30 rounds .38 & same .22 rimfire. I have a couple of thousand .38 loaded up.

Cowboy Action- I usually practice once or twice a week shooting 100 pistol, 100 rifle & 50 shotgun each session. Monthly matches are 60 to 70 rifle, same pistol & 20 shotgun. Regional shoots last 3 days - 200 rifle & 200 pistol, 50 shotgun.

I reload for match shooting mostly in the winter. The rest of the year is for prairie dogs & big game shooting range time. I buy my reloading components in bulk with 3 or 4 other guys. Just bought bullets- .45 for cowboy - together we bought 100,000 bullets. I also just bought 25# of black powder. Last year 10 of us bought 500,000 primers. One of our shooting group works for a sporting goods wholesaler, that's how we get the quantities. I won't need primers, powder or bullets for several years.

CC. I have Winchester hulls and Remington 1 1/8 oz wads but my hull is not quite full and they wont crimp right. I used an overshot card and they cripmed ok then but Im not understanding why I have too, or is that normal?

What kind of Winchester hulls? AA's? If so there are several different types with different internal designs. I quit using any of the new AA cases.

After a bunch of research I bought the Lee Classic turret press kit from Kempf Gun Shop. I called in my order as the website seemed amateurish. $230 shipped.

We shoot some USPSA and wanted to cut down on ammo costs. Have 3000 rounds to load that will cost 9¢ per. Rifle capable as well so we will get dies for our .308 rifles. Be nice to make quality rifle ammo. We practice with that cheap stuff at Walmart at $10 per 20, but it groups bad.

I would separate the empties by brand and type and load a few of each to see if you can isolate the ones that might be the problem. Did you get the .303 brass yet?
I have 4 different once fired empties. The 2 Winchesters I have loaded have both been about the same. The other 2 are Remington and I havent tried them yet. No brass yet. I really thought it would of got here by now

After many many years on my want list I finally have a Winchester 1892 in 25-20! My grandfather used to talk about the 25-20 he used to have and best I can figure this is the same gun!

I love levers, especially Winchesters. I have 2 1873s (Uberti replicas) that I shoot in competition (that is what I am shooting in my avatar). One is my primary and the second is a backup. In 10 years I have only had to use the backup once. Both are .45 Colt. I really want an 1886 in 45-70 to hunt elk with . Just havn't found the right one yet. I also had a 1895 in 30-06 that was my Grandfather's that I gave to my son.

I have the same exact rifle! They're fun to shoot rabbits with, if you hit them in the head.

I am definitely a lever action addict! I have 5 rifles and 2 shotguns now. An original 1873 is at the top of my list. I want to get the 1860 Henry that Henry is making now but Im waiting for some used ones to get out there

25-20 shoots! I dont have the best powder for it so they are probabally not coming out real fast (25-20 is so fast to start with, haha!) but Im pretty sure I hit a big hill 50 yards away:D

I think I got the 12 gauges figured out. I put a.135 20 ga nitro card in the bottom of the shot cup and a 13 gauge overshot card. Crimps come out nearly perfect with that combo.
