Not sure how accurate their scoring is at our show since my antelope scored 76 last year and 74 this year. They claimed they are harder to score mounted and said I should have told them they measured him last year. I thought they should have asked, how am I supposed to know... He got 2nd in prior harvest by 6/8, although he looked bigger then the other antelope in every way to me. Last years antelope scored 67 7/8 gross, 67 4/8 net and got 3rd current harvest, which is a few inches better then I was expecting. No elk/western hunter or Ryan Hatfield there this year. Fred that does the Eastmans booth thinks it will be his last year coming there. Definately less outfitters there this year. Less heard then other years too. Thing our show isnt doing so well these days.

Damn prairie dogs...............its that time of the year. Neighbor down the road doesn't do anything about them and won't let anyone shoot them. They spread like wildfire and every spring its a range war around here. I already killed 2 this am.
a friend of mine is filling the holes with propane and lighting them......i hear its quite entertaining

I finally ordered my rifle the other day. I went to local gun shop and apparently a model 70 .300 wsm is hard to find. They couldn't find one anywhere but they were able to tell me how much it would cost when found. I left and checked a few places and found one on line at a huge sports shop in Maine I always considered a tourist trap. I called and spoke to a really nice gentlemen. I ordered it and got it for $100 less then my "buddy" could give it to me for!! How does that work? They are even going to hold the rifle for me until June when I go on vacation up there.
