NW Nevada Taxidermists

Any recommendations from anyone would be appreciated? I drew archery Antelope, Deer and Bull...just wanting to finalize my game plan before it starts next week and get in touch with someone!

My father in law used Mike Nelson, Nelson's Taxidermy in Reno for his bull last year and was very happy with everything. He is located up in the Galena area, phone #775-857-7084. I know IKIC has a guy that he loves too, you will prob hear from him.

One of the best taxidermists in the entire US is Animal Artistry in Reno. They are a bit on the spendy side, but you get what you pay for. I had them do my Nevada desert sheep. It is the best mount I've had done.

For your elk, deer and antelope you will have a lot more choices in taxidermists. There tends to be quite a few taxidermists that do those species well.

FYI: Just because a guy is good on deer/elk/antelope does NOT mean they do sheep well. I have found very, very few good sheep taxidermists. I personally know of two taxidermists in Oregon and Nevada that I would trust with a sheep.

+1. Very spendy but they seem to win all the taxidermy awards at the SCI convention every year. They do some damn cool stuff.

Ron Biggs of wildlife West taxidermy is kind of a sleeper. He's located in Fallon and he's done an antelope, lion and California bighorn for me that came out really good. At working guy prices. I had a desert sheep done by a guy in reno four years ago and he managed to make it look like a cocker spaniel with horn's. Every day I wish I took it to Ron instead. Be careful.

Big dollars at Animal Artistry for sure. Wade was trained by one of the guys from there years ago. PM me and I'll give you My taxi's info. He's not taking on anymore work unless you know someone. He is in Sparks and does amazing work for a great price.

I would go with NV wildlife taxidermy.He does some awesome work,really great guy and he has some really good prices. He is located in washoe valley.
