Once we finally got around the mountain the dogs were moving slow and baying the bear. We had to navigate some nasty muddy, snowy roads until we could go no further. We could hear the action above and set out. Straight up we went and the dogs voices kept fading in and out. Once we made it about 3/4 of the way up I peeked over the ridge to see my dogs head down in a cave and going nuts. I urged the shooter over and we got into position only a few feet away from the angry bear with dogs baying. The shooter made a great shot and a follow up shot to finish this bear off. Intense and exciting to say the least. A few dogs got to close and are banged up but ok and all dogs are whoooped. 3+ hours and 10+ miles, I'd say I'm proud of my pack!
