Back out to bear camp Friday afternoon. This work thing is seriously getting in the way. Hoping to keep the streak going and put up a couple more. As of now we have caught 16 and are hoping for over 20.

Went out today and ran a mean one. Five miles, six trees and a lot of time on the ground with a mean bear who has quite an attitude. Hunter thought it was a little small so he passed. At the vet will be one dog down tomorrow. Lynn will be ok just needs a little rest. Good luck to Jason and everyone tomorrow if I get to camp before your asleep I'll tell you about today.

Yesterday was a rainy bust. Today we had a break and scored again. After 3+ hours and 5 trees we were able to catch the dogs and let this little fella go. One hell of a race and a 2+ mile hike in and he lives to terrorize someone else's dogs.

Back to camp again today. I'll have 2 tags in camp this weekend so hopefully a shooter climbs a tree for us.

I talked to a guy in Idaho that had a bear try to dig under his canvas tent to get in while he was in it Thursday night!

He can send that bear over here. This was the first weekend we didn't catch, run a bear. We've been getting much cooler weather and the Bears are getting harder to find. Have some hikes planned for this next weekend.

Back at it today and the plan paid off. Went to the opposite side of our area and did a little walking. Dogs trailed out and it got hot and heavy. One of my dogs seemed to be goofing around but she was moving fast. All the other dogs treed but Tule was still opening and hammering when she treed all alone about 600yds from the others. We walked in to Tule first and found her treed alone with 200# sow. Petted her up good and walked over to the others who had slightly larger sow treed waaayyyy up for a pinion. No shooters and we hunted all day to not score again. Back out tomorrow.

Well we put a nice shooter in a cave today. Things got really western and didn't get my camera in him. 300 and beautiful red but tag holder said too small. Good job on the double guys

They haven't updated since October 5th but. I know of for sure 10 bears

Interesting- at the meeting they said it would be up to date but a month? No bears since Oct 5th?
Hopefully it finishes strong.

It's official, tomorrow morning it's a combo hunt. Lions and bears, snow is on the ground in the mountains.

Carl actually said he would update it as much as possible. If only a few were taken then he would be in no hurry. As it gets closer to the quota he would update it more often. I thought we would be much closer to the quota by now. The area I have been running has literally been evacuated of bears. Moving to some new country tomorrow that's had less pressure but historically has less bears.
