Agreed. I put poly tarps down then canvas tarps on top of them. Then I have a 5x5 fireproof mat. Under the stove.

Looks like a great option. Buy a little sheet metal and extend the hopper capacity so it'll have a longer burn time and you'd be in business!

Thats what we were thinking, a local farm dealer here has one in stock and we're waiting till the end of season sale

Had my wife help me put 3 of these together. They'll hang on the outside support wall above each person's cot in the tent to put cloths in. Making one that is the same width, but 2x longer with more pockets to hang next to the cook table for paper towels, plates, silverware, all the random stuff that seems to clutter up the table.
