Just wanted to jump on and introduce myself. New to the forum, although I have read several posts throughout the years. I really enjoy reading everyone's stories and seeing all the pictures of wildlife harvested. So thanks in advance for anything you guys share. I get really excited about hunting and just as excited tagging along on other people's hunts as well. I like to take shots but think it is just as fun to watch others get theirs.
I live in Salt Lake and work for Peterbilt. The only place I have ever worked and really enjoy what I do. I'm married and have a daughter who is just about 2, who loves to be thrown on my shoulders and taken out on hikes. I spend a lot of my free time on the Manti, Wasatch and Kamas units here in Utah.
I'm currently trying to land a deer on the extended unit of the Wasatch. Was able to bring in a decent 3x4 last year on Thanksgiving morning. It has been a good hunting year for me this year. I've dabbled in a little bit of everything. I've done ducks, geese, grouse, pheasant in South Dakota, Whitetail in Indiana, halibut and salmon fishing in Alaska and Muley and Elk here in Utah. I was not able to harvest a whitetail unfortunately but had a great time. Also missed an opportunity on an elk. The South Dakota trip was probably the most fun I've had bird hunting and already have it on the list to go again.
Thanks for taking the time to read and I'd be glad to help anyone where I can.
