Greetings everyone. My name is Mike and I live in NW Wisconsin. My wife and I enjoy most anything outdoors, although the last few years my hunting and fishing time has taken a serious hit due to adding 3 boys to our family, one now 3 and 1 yr old twins. Before the boys came we were on bow stands for whitetail dozens of times each fall, walking trails with our 2 Griffons for ruffed grouse or jumping beaver ponds for woodies and occasionally bonus mallards, plus I made 5 trips to NM elk hunting (5 bulls, all 5x5 and 6x6
) So wife just got approved last week for a leave of absence for a year which affords me a chance to head west this fall (2015). Too late now to apply and plan a big elk trip, plus I'm planning to make this a solo trip, so thought I'd see if maybe a mullie trip somewhere could work out. Before I was around (I'm 52) my dad made many trips hunting mullies around Ten Sleep WY. I still recall the stories he told about those trips while we were at deer camp or on a fishing trip and love going through those old B&W photos of those trips. So now I'm thinking of retracing his footsteps 50+ years later and make a trip out there myself. He passed 23 years ago so I haven't much to go on for planning this trip, that's why I joined to read of others experiences and hopefully find some that would be gracious enough to share information about where, who, etc. I've spent a couple days reading other posts, and going through the WGFW site (confusing!) and maybe,....I'm more confused now!!! Ha. Would appreciate any information or direction anyone is willing to provide. Cheers!
