Hey everyone,
I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I post some over on hunttalk as well. My name is Derek, I am 36, I have a 6-month old boy, and my wife loves to hunt and fish, so life is good. I am the superintendent of water and wastewater for a small city. I have been hunting since I was 10 years old, although I probably would have started earlier if I could have held a gun up! My dad is a taxidermist, and a great outdoorsman. I have learned everything I know about the outdoors from him, from building wooden box traps, running trot lines in the creeks, to bow hunting. I love the outdoors. It is getting extremely complicated to enjoy the outdoors around here because of lack of public land and leased private land. There are some huge bucks here. Dad had one in a few years back that went 294 net non-typical called the "Amish Lucky buck" Look it up if you get a chance. Anyways, we have gravitated more to the western states and I love everything about western hunting, especially DIY style hunts. I will live there someday! I will start out with some pictures of mine and dads trophy rooms as well as some assorted hunting and fishing pics over the years. I may occasionally ask for some advice as well.
