Growing up in the Southeast woods of Georgia and Alabama for 40 years, I have chased and harvested just about every game critter with fur, feathers or fins in these parts. As a Dad of 4 great kids, we enjoy our time afield or on the water measuring the success of the trip more often in the width of our smiles and memories than the size of our catch. Family is our most valuable trophy, and second to my kids, my brother is my best hunting buddy; hardly do I ever load a shell or cast a rod without any of them alongside.
We are ready for a new challenge and want to begin our adventures in the West. I have decided to try to put together an antelope hunt with my brother and 14yr old son for 2015 and have lurked around this and other Western forums for a while.
I have questions that I cannot seem to find an answer for, so I thought it best to join in the conversations rather than just observing.
We are all excited to learn new things and see new areas and chase new game. Thank you in advance to those willing to share your knowledge and opinions. I will be more than happy to do the same for Southern game or any of my newly acquired experience once we get going.
