Curious what powder you guys are using in your loads...?
The 28 Nosler is a lot like an amped up 7 mag. I’ve done some experimenting with reloader 26 and reloader 23. The 26 was extremely accurate, .50 MOA with a good speed. 23 produced much higher velocity, was still less than .0 75 MOA. H1000 produced good results with the Berger bullets but was a little too slow for my liking.

Thanks. Nice getting feedback from EF friends.
I heard RL33 was fast but little dirtier.
Retumo was just little slower but cleaner.
Few mentions of n570..?

I’m very happy with my 28. I chose not to go with a custom rig this time because Savage offered a 28 Nosler with a Proof Research Carbon Barrel with a much less price point and as light or lighter then most Custom rifles.

The pic on the scale is with scope mounted. Unloaded

I have a buddy that is interested in a Savage. Which one did you buy?

I love resurrecting posts.
Here’s one up for custom/custom modification rifles. And another for the 28 Nosler. Still holding to be the best investment I’ve made. Ok, hunting investment :)
