What fixed blade broad head would everyone recommend? i am switching over to Easton axis arrows this year i'm trying to decide on wac em, slick trick, and muzzy? My arrow weight should end up around 490/510 grains and still deciding between a 100 grain broad head with a heavier insert or a 125 grain broadhead with the standard insert.

Thanks for the help in advance!

I use the VPA 125gr that is out of the custom shop. I'd give these a look they fly great and do not have as steep of blade angle as many others. You'll have to call VPA to order them as they are not listed on the webpage. They are the 150gr solid that has been vented to remove the 25 grains.

I've shot the 125 grain G5 Montec's for years now and love them. I switched to Easton Axis arrows this year and have had great results with the Montec's. I highly suggest them.

Here are my thoughts, you decide....... It seems late in the year to be switching equipment, I guess that depends on when your season starts. In Oregon we are well into it. I like the 125 gr. because of the longer angle of the blade. I don't care for the lighter steep angle blades. A friend once told me to take a knife and try to pull it through a water melon with the blade straight up and down. Now place the blade on a long angle and see which way is easier. Made sense to me, so I go with the longer angle. The heavier 125 gr. will have a longer angle.

This all for next year. just thought i would get a jump on it, since i tagged out on my deer last week. but since i'm switching back to Easton axis from my injexions i figured i need a need to start thinking about new broad heads. Right now Slick Trick is the one I am leaning towards, but still looking at the wac ems and the innerloc heads as well.

I shoot DirtNap Gear DRT, the cool thing about them is they come with a 25 grain collar so you have either a 100 grain broadheads or a 125 grain head all in one, right up your alley to see which you like better without having to buy both. They have great colors, and a lifetime warranty, you break it they replace it. Good luck!

Slick tricks here with fmjs and blazer vanes. Fly like darts! Razor sharp. Super easy to replace or sharpen. I don't intend to switch anytime soon

Shuttle T's....just took a bear with them last Saturday and he only went about 15 yds and piled up. Really impressed with this broadhead and they shoot good too!

I have bow hunter for along time. Killed everything from rabbit turkey to big game. Over 100 big game animals. By far rage is the best mechanical but I absolutely love solid broad heads. Fly amazing hold up and stay sharp. I can group in a pie plate at 90 yards. Very impressive with a fixed blade. Plus you can reuse them. Bow hunters supply has them for around 55 dollars and for money and the head imo it is the best

I have about 500 Diff broadheads in my collection. This is really a tough question to answer as there are so many good Broadheads.

If you take the time to properly tune your bow, nearly every head will fly true and that is the most important asspect of a broadhead. Sampling a variety of heads will help you more than asking people on a forum as most will simply list the head they currently use.

I've been shooting slick tricks for 4 yrs now. Love them, they leave slug holes, also the Ulmer edges, best mechanical on the market but can't get them anymore. Love the wac'ems also.

I have went back to using Muzzies 125gr. Was going to try the G5 Montec's but the price for those is crazy. I can get twice the number of Muzzy's compared the montec. I'm sure they aren't twice as good. I had really good luck with the shuttles prior to trophy taker buying them out. I thought quality went down hill on them and switched back to Muzzy's.
