Nope, no elk to be had in Nevada. Move along.Anyone know if this hunt is any good?
The elk from what I've seen and been out there from August to the end of October, they generally stay in the same spots all huntin season, at least in the monitor rangeMight be a good idea. Let them get pushed around, rut end and weather to change a bit. They will be in different locations.
I definitely think 16 is where you are gonna find the most elk and biggest Bulls. I've only seen 10 elk in 17 with the biggest a spike. Though if you've got the time I would scout it, never know. Thanks for the comments. Do you think 17 is worth scouting?
Nevada is managed as a trophy elk state so it's not like they open up an area and hunt it till the elk are gone. This bull was taken in 2005 from an area where there has been continuous hunting since the early 60's. You can see the score of 404 net.I could be mistaken but was that bull taken the first year the elk where hunted after twenty years of no hunting from the time they where transplanted there some time around 1972
