I drew it, Dad drew it, Sister drew it. Best friend drew it this year. Late hunt has bulls broken up and picked through. That being said a "bad" Nevada bull will usually still turn heads.

Might be a good idea. Let them get pushed around, rut end and weather to change a bit. They will be in different locations.

The elk from what I've seen and been out there from August to the end of October, they generally stay in the same spots all huntin season, at least in the monitor range

Thanks for the comments. Do you think 17 is worth scouting?
I definitely think 16 is where you are gonna find the most elk and biggest Bulls. I've only seen 10 elk in 17 with the biggest a spike. Though if you've got the time I would scout it, never know.

There are a couple huge bulls in 17, only a few hundred square miles to find them. Haha Velvetfvr is right, there will be elk in the same areas all year. Big bulls disappear after the rut though. Great lil hidey holes all over!

Good point Dustin. Will I need horses? I was tossing that one around. I agree with Crzy and velvetfvr once the rut ends the bulls will break and go to there holes.

Nevada is managed as a trophy elk state so it's not like they open up an area and hunt it till the elk are gone. This bull was taken in 2005 from an area where there has been continuous hunting since the early 60's. You can see the score of 404 net.
There are still monster bulls taken from the Monitor range every year.http://forum.eastmans.com/images/styles/eastmans/attach/jpg.gif
