Justin punched his tag on the nice 3x3.
He passed up his buddy that was a 165 4x4 but only a 3 year old so he could grow up and be a whopper of a buck some day. His father and I were very impressed with that choice of his to take the mature buck even though he was a lesser deer.
We had 3 days to get his a deer and the next 2 were supposed to be crap weather which is exactly what happen. I?m happy to have there to enjoy this hunt with these guys.
His dad insisted on the cape be down in the pack with the horns up. Next time I?ll have some orange tape or a vest to wrap the horns in. But we were in the wide open and wasn?t to concerned with another hunter thinking he was a deer.
