You have to buy a license which is 142 bucks. Then you can apply for points or units. It's 10 bucks a species except for elk which if I remember right is 25. If you don't draw you can get a license refund but you get no points if you do. It costs me about 240 a year to apply for everything. I have 11 points and have only drawn a antelope tag. Draw odds are very low for NR in Nevada.
Yeah lost, has it right, but I was told on the plus side when u buy a license you can go bird hunt, rabbit hunt, and coyote too, so no loss, just out the 142 for license. Which is required to buy a point.

Nevada is the only state i know of that allows res and non res to hunt coyotes and i believe black tail jacks without a licence, both will need a bird stamp to hunt birds along with the licence.
You have to buy the license to apply. I have been applying for about 20 years and have drawn 4 deer tags, two archery antelope tags, and after 15 years of applying, a muzzleloader bull elk tag. Consider it an investment that should pay off on a quality hunt.
Nevada has been one of the best nonresident states I have applied in for success in drawing quality tags. With that said, Nevada squares their bonus points so starting at the bottom as a nonresident is quite a disadvantage.
I've drawn the best antelope tag in the state twice, a desert sheep tag, one mule deer tag (my best buck), and a bull elk tag. I've often joked about how many points I have for deer (24 now), but that is simply because I only apply for the best tag/tags.
