Nevada Buck 2011

This is my Nv buck I got last Saterday after the weather got cold and got the Deer moving. Was hard hunting this year. Sheep herders, Mt lions and F&G netting deer for reserch there was alot of activity in my honey hole. The sheep herders lost 13 sheep the first day they got there and called in a Gov trapper to kill off the Mt lions. They caught 3. Then F&G was netting deer? first Ive heard of that. Also the netted a 190" that broke his neck in the net and was taken by F&G! WTF! they have to net a buck like that and kill it! BS!!! Anyway was a great hunt but with the population of deer so low were in passed years we would see 4-5 bucks like this and could take our time to choose the best one. I thiunk thoses days are over for awhile

My rifle is a Savage 7mm WSM with a muzzle break and a Luepold 4.4x14x50 that I had Luepolds custom shop put drop turrets on it for the long range shots out to 800 yards. It has the Boone and Crockett reticule. I shoot 160 grain Accu bonded Win ammo and a Simms recoil pad and deresinator. I've killed a ton of deer and acouple elk antelope and a coyote or two that happens to be around. It's a great gun.

Nice buck! It seems the G and F can screw up about anything anymore! They are just like any other Govt. agency, rake in all of the money you can and then waste it!

Great buck! I'm with you I don't know why the heck they would be netting deer during hunting season. That just doesn't make sense. It really sucks that they killed a 190 buck too. Were they netting from a helicopter? If so I don't even see why they would go after a mature buck like that.

Yes they were netting with a helicopter. It wasn't during the deer season. It was about 3 weeks before opening day. Wich didn't help the hunting much either. I think it stirred up the deer. With the chopper flying all over.
