Nathan I can echo your sentiments because I encountered similar lack of pronghorn density in the unit I hunted last year. If a guy is used to Northern CO and Wyoming antelope densities, Nevada is a shock.
I was also watching Mike Eastman on a Nevada hunt on one of the Eastman DVD's in a "well regarded antelope zone" and he had a tough time finding what he wanted in a trophy antelope. It may have been one of the 30 series, I don't know.
But one thing is for sure. That broken country sure is tough to find antelope in. But every now and then a smoker gets killed.
I admire you for staying in the public away from the alfalfa. I think we would get along well hunting together from what I've seen of your adventures.
Upside is you can apply again next year...
