My favorite kids hunt of the year starts Saturday. I just purchased three tags for my son- total cost is a whopping $24. (Yep, they are $8 each for residents and non-residents alike). I can't think of a better youth hunt- any of you guys close should take advantage and take a kid hunting! The youth season opens April 8th, a full week before adults can hunt with a shotgun. The toms are very callable so typically is a pretty easy and exciting hunt for kids. Many landowners are willing to allow kids on so getting a place to hunt is generally pretty easy.
