This is my first ever archery buck. What a feeling! He may not be a scoring machine, but I was so wound up he might as well have been 200". Shot him on October 24th on public land here in South Dakota.

Congrats on the buck! SD sure has some great public land hunting and I sure do miss it! Awesome buck to start out with for sure

IMG_3425.jpgIMG_3414.jpgWell we were able to get another DIY deer down on Thursday. My buddy and I was able to sneak out in the afternoon Thursday after our annual volunteer fire dept. fund drive. Took us a couple hours to locate him and wait for him to get up from his bed.. Its been a good season so far. It is his best deer to date also.

Here is a picture of my Dad's Colorado Buck. He has dreamed of killing a 30" wide deer and we were lucky enough to accomplish just that on day 8 of our 9 day hunt. I feel blessed to share such great memories with my dad and hope to have many more!

My first Mule Deer hunt, Unit 40 in Idaho. Had a great time! Traveled out by myself from Southern Indiana. Think this midwestern Whitetail hunter is hooked now!
