hoshour, Isn't the main reason for going digital so you can $ell iphone apps to generation Xers ? After all, Eastmans is a business and businesses tend to make decisions based on how to make more money. Wrap a new idea in a familiar package and tell the customers how much their gonna love it............I think Coca-Cola did something similiar some years ago.
It takes way more resources than people think to make the digital side what we want it to be.

The main reason for the digital edition is that we can't fit all the info we have into the print edition. You may have noticed that the magazines are significantly bigger than they used to be and part of that is that the MRS section was bigger and better after the overhaul this year.

But, the digital version in the last few months has run 15-35% more MRS information than the print edition and I expect that to increase. There will be some other cool things specific to the digitial edition that you'll have to wait to see.

You are absolutely right. I find that in todays world of technology many people, especially the younger ones such as millenials want instant gratification with no effort on their part.
I'm glad so many guys are like that as it allows hidden gems to still exist. For the people who are willing to work at it and research areas, they can still find some very good hunts. I've got about 5 different hunts I've researched that I think are very good hunts. Maybe they won't all pan out great but from what biologists and game wardens have told me, I'm positive a few of them would be great hunts with few or no points. Most of my research starts in the yellow units.

We pulled the basic "how the draw works" out of the print edition to replace it with fresher information more along the lines of what guys want to know about where to go.

A person needs only to go to the G&F website to see how the draw works, and he should. You don't need the digital subscription for that.

Also, we didn't reduce the print edition, we expanded it. The print edition MRS page count last year was way bigger than the year before and included two extra MRS issues besides.

And, many states not only had more pages but went from 12 column tables to 30 columns of info plus a lot of side charts and graphs.

I'm just curious, do you guys get much direct feedback on what people would like to see in the magazine/MRS? Through discussion/debate on this forum, I'm sure you can get an idea of what people like and don't like but I'm just wondering if the changes are driven by feedback or mainly by what you guys think is best.
