MRS Access

One last post, I promise. I said repeatedly I did not speak for the company. I gave my Eastmans info in full disclosure to those who don't know I work there because it influences my opinions. My posts were trying to be objective as a third party that has a connection to Eastmans and try to get people to see it from another angle.

But, it seems like a few individuals got really bent out of shape, saying I "dismissed reader comments," apparently because I "didn't admit that it was a mistake" and "didn't apologize."

Geez, guys. It's not my place to do either one. My last name is not Eastman. I tried to listen to guys who were upset and offer my thoughts and instead became the target. That was not fair.

Wouldn't just posting the digital mrs PDFs back up on the web alleviate all the concerns?
The digital guys wouldn't have to download the entire mag and the paper subscription guys are back up and also have the additional info from the digital mrs.
Seems like a win win to me.

Dave---IMHO you are doing a great job in your capacity with the company. I've said that before and I also agree that the magazines are the best out there. However, I do believe you hit the nail on the head when you said you probably should have stayed out of this particular discussion since even though you kept saying you didn't speak for the company it certainly sounded like it and then when you said the thread needed to end it was like you had made a company decision and for us to just shut up, grin, and bear it. That's my take on it and I will stick with my comments and suggestion on the quick fix that's needed to correct the problem until each subscription is up for renewal. That will not bankrupt the company and would be fair to all the loyal subscribers such as myself.

OJ---WB was referencing the statement Dave made in post #112, not anything you mentioned if that's what you thought.
Roger that TopGun ...... I was pretty sure that they were current when I downloaded 7 or 8 MRS last summer.
I guess when they rolled out the digital they stopped updating the online data base.
Like WB said that wasn't a year ago!

I spent the last couple of hours trying to save the latest Journal and it's MRS from the free trial. (Thanks Guys that part was done right).
I'm not a big "AP" guy but it appears that downloading the ap is the only way now.
Again..... the goal of any TRANSITION should be to make it seamless and painless.

Dave my apologies but you made yourself the target.....and I agree. I think you do a terrific job. I'd sure like to be able to access your work :) (without carrying a dozen mags around in the pickup)

I'm not at home but believe I was only missing a cpl and had to go back and download the mag from the digital side.

I would have preferred to have the mrs PDFs continue for those like me who save them for reference and had just the print subscriptions. Since that isn't an option I'll add a digital subscription to get it.
I'm not a fan of the web and phone apps used for the digital side but I'll make adjustments and life will go on.
Same here...... if you figure out how to do it without loading the ap please put it on here.
I work on a computer 6 hours per day so I am not a complete computer idiot but I'm entering my third hour trying to save it in anything that will work w/o wifi.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss it with us!

Your pc will download the publication by using the print function on the digital version web site. As many or as few pages as you want.
Thanks Bob,
I think it was double trouble because I'm on a MacBook.
After several minutes it did download the MRS.
When I have more battery I'll try to download the whole thing.
It sure seems about three times more difficult.

Good thing because I tried 4 times to download the app from I tunes and it kept saying I was not an administrator.

I always tell my folks.... is the berry worth the briar?
Not sure right now?
Thanks for the help!!!!!
