To Scott R and hoshour: will I have access to the complete MRS with just a EHJ digital subscription or will I have to subscribe to both digital for the complete MRS?
You will have to subscribe to both.To Scott R and hoshour: will I have access to the complete MRS with just a EHJ digital subscription or will I have to subscribe to both digital for the complete MRS?
I believe that bolded statement is exactly what our member was referring to in earlier posts about us being warmly received. You can say it's done and let's move on, but I don't agree with that! I was in LE for over 30 years and a big part of it involved consumer protection regarding false advertising, bait and switch tactics, etc. In this case Eastmans has essentially breeched the contract they had with each of us that are current subscribers who are expecting to get what we paid for until WE decide to either not renew our subscription, go with the upgrade change, or whatever WE decide! I think either ScottR or Guy need to seriously look at what has happened and listen to us, as I can guarantee that there are a lot of subscribers that are ticked and may just say stick it and let their subscriptions lapse. This is really a lot more serious situation the way it was mishandled than either you or ScottR seem to think!I don't know how I could have more warmly received the feedback here. I have been very respectful and factual and asked for feedback more than once. I want to hear suggestions.
My takeaway is that people didn't like 1) not having advance notice of losing access to PDFs of MRSs over a year old and they didn't like 2) losing the access to those unless they pay for the digital description. Those are past events, let's bury this dead horse and move forward.
I am open to any and all suggestions as to how to improve the magazine, especially the MRS. Tell me on the forum, pm me or email me at [email protected]. Thanks, guys.
(I.M.O.) You are completely missing the point Dave.I don't know how I could have more warmly received the feedback here. I have been very respectful and factual and asked for feedback more than once. I want to hear suggestions.

Just check my downloads.... I have April of 2014 downloaded. Not sure where you're getting the notion that the mrs pdfs were over a year old.
I'm also not sure why Dave chose to come on here with his dialog and then tell us to end it when he says he doesn't speak for the company! He does a fantastic job in his capacity, but IMHO this should be addressed by the owner/decision makers at the company whomever that may be. Again, IMHO they should just man up and say mistakes were made that we are addressing in this thread and either fix it or at least apologize before we move on! All these computer savvy younguns that just come on and say "do this and do that" yadayadayada gets old when some of us old timers have stated that we don't even have anything but flip open phones and don't know what the heck they are even talking about. Even WB and all of his techno skills doesn't seem happy the way some of this has panned out. As I mentioned earlier, I tried to go in on the free trial and then save the two emails for the digital version the easy way I know how to from doing it with other magazine subscriptions and then am told that it can't be done. Maybe people should start looking at the customers instead of what they can do so easily with their skills and knowledge and think that everyone is right there with them when we're not!Not sure where you're getting the notion that the mrs pdfs were over a year old.
I'm not at home but believe I was only missing a cpl and had to go back and download the mag from the digital side.Just check my downloads.... I have April of 2014 downloaded.
