They need to allow hunting in some of those Chicago forest preserves...

I think lifetime bans are counter intuitive, if you ban a poacher for life, then why would he not just go out the next year and hunt illegally again? I'd be all of 2yr, 5yr, 10yr type of hunting bans.

I think jail time & fines, would be a better answer... but again fines without jail time, slap on the wrist.

and 2nd/3rd offenses I would start racking up the jailtime! each additional offense, square the sentences, just like some of the point systems! ha!

Side note, I guess it's ethics/morals, but who wants a poached trophy? what pride is there in that? I want a monster buck as much as anyone, but poaching a monster? you might as well buy 5acres, buy a buck, raise it, mount it, if all you want is a big buck...

Marty Stouffer dropped out of the limelight after some trespass and other violations. He wasn't killing any animals, but was still violating a number of laws. He was everywhere on the outdoor wildlife circuit for quite a while.
What cracked me up about that dipstick Marty Stouffer was when he obtained a grizzly bear cub that he named "Grizz" (How profound) and then proceeded to teach the cub how to be wild! He's been accused of staging almost all of his stupid shows, along with trespassing and wildlife violations. (that grizzly cub comes to mind!) Good riddance.

I feel the same. Mount it and it would hang on your wall and stare you in the face everyday reminding you of the law you broke.
