My Dad has about 15 moose points. Does anyone have any good input? He's thinking about cashing them in as he is 62 and his knees are really starting to bother him (ones already replaced). He trying to put in for something that he can get almost a 100% with good bull ratios. It doesn't necessarily have to have the largest moose. I realize it's difficult to know percentage of draws when moose tags only have 1 or 2 tags sometimes.

The other side of that is I would like to get a deer tag along with that. I have plenty of points.

Some decent areas with his points. Lander area has good success as does around Kemmerer. Some areas are hunting along the river in sagebrush type terrain, very interesting but mainly successful during the rut. Jackson area has a down turn but most of the rest of the state has good numbers. Any area he can draw will have decent hunting.

I'd suggest confirming his exact number of points, a point +\- from 15 will make a difference. But, units in the SW like 23 - 26 have lots of tags, moose and can be hunted DIY by a NR. I managed to acquire a leg problem in 2014, and choose 26 to take my oldest son Moose hunting in 2014, it worked out well.

He has 15 points. Please send Ben a PM if you have ideas for him. They are very good friends. Not a lot of tags slipping through to his point level. With a pile of applicants in his point pool and above, I would be leery discussing options on a public forum.
