Oh yeah, that bull finished out real nice. I thought I remembered you saying he grew a fair bit after I took those photos.

jimss, you were only 25" off...pretty good for you.

That live bull, is that Doug?

That thing is stupid big.

JM77, how about that bull that Jim Frauendients shot in the unit next door to the unit your SIL and I shot our bulls in? IRRC that bull net scored over 180.

I thought jimss said there wasn't any big bulls in those "opportunity" units in Western Wyoming and the wolves ate them all?

Funny stuff you read on these boards.

Doug was a tank of a bull...too bad we'll never know what he scored, I reckon somewhere "around 145"?...HA!

JM, Nice bull in the harvest shot. Looks like he may go 160 net? It's always hard to tell from a photo! The bulls in your 2nd pics look like 130 to 150 when hard horned?

Here's a few "average" Colo bulls that may be over 160? Bulls this size shot in scattered units spread out all over Colo. Look in the B&C books and you'll see what I'm talking about!

I've seen those pictures jimss, most are outfitted hunts. Guess I don't know when you are talking score if you mean gross or net. Most don't talk net these days and record books don't interest me.

Best bull I heard of last year down south in Wyo was 178, it's one of the pictures I posted. A group of us hunted down there this year with 4 bull tags, best was 164.(also pictured on above post with young lady and bow) Second biggest grossed 159 & change with a spike brow on one side. The smallest bull we took was my wife's pictured here. She doesn't care about score, but I think she did ok.14886171_10206866080520381_466973949_n.jpg

Congrats to your wife on a nice bull! Sounds like some other nice ones in Wyo.

Pretty sad reading this realizing I'll never get to hunt a bull moose in the lower 48... I have my application in for a cow this year with 3 points. Hopefully AB next fall for my bull.

A friend of mine had 3 points last year and drew a tag in the random draw. There's always a chance. Never say never.

Very true... If I draw the cow tag this year, I'll be waiting 5 years to start putting in for the random. I have no plans to buy any PP again though.

Then plan on not putting in again after the 5 year wait...you get a point whether you want one or not if you apply.

Thanks Buzz- I didn't realize they forced you to buy a point when applying for moose and sheep- just read about it. Kind of a crock realizing people with low points will likely not ever get up to the level to actually use them.
