Bears can sit around a site for hours before they hit it. Your camera is only catching a small piece of what's going on around your bait. One thing I would do is bait early in the day, preferably right before sun up. This gives the bear a little urgency to hit the bait before someone else does, giving lots of daylight for that to happen in. Getting some bear scent out can help too, sow in heat is a good one, gives them the impression there's more bears around and makes them more apt to come in during the day.

Good luck!

Yeah I will try to bait earlier but have been making the 2 hour plus drive after work so normally getting there around 3 or 4 pm. Hard when the unit is so far away

Baited again today and bait site one was hit hard logs thrown around pretty good. My camera picked up nothing though. I have a cheaper camera and I've notice it's not taking nearly as many pics as my brothers camera on site 2. Since I'm dropping that location I pulled his camera today and will move it to site one also for better pics hopefully.

Here's some motivation Marcus!!
Very nice im leaving right now from baiting 2 hours home now. I'll post the 20 ish pics I got on cam later tonight. Even one with 2 bears fighting for the bait. They are at night still but with in 6 hours or so of me baiting. Baited at 630 7 pm Friday cause of my Work and kids school. When I hunt I'll bait mornings but hard to get up here to bait early with out time off

Go in with your bait in the dark before work with your flashlight. loooooooooool

And yes, that was a joke.

Had a big black bear try and run me off of a deer I killed up in Pennsylvania. It was in the dark and it was pretty scary by my standards......snotty old bugger.

I don't care to deal with them in the dark when it comes to food...lol

Hard to tell without a closer picture, but looks like 2 boars. 1 appears to be a year older than the other, I'd guess biggest is around 200, smaller is 150's. Either one is a shooter in my book especially for a first one!

Honestly any legal bear is in danger lol . It's My first one and took 10 years to draw and the success rate is low.

Baiters often put the bait in a barrel (with access holes) that can serve as a comparison to judge size. For this site, you could simply put a blaze on the tree next to your bait at a known height. I don't know what the back ht. is for an adult bear is, but I suspect someone who is following this has the answer. Good luck Marcus, enjoy the journey.
