Hey guys, what kind of medical equipment / products do you carry in the backcountry?

I don't go that far back into the back country anymore but a couple of things that I would never be without are a package of sterile gauze and a roll of plastic electrical tape. That along with some para cord can get you out of quite a few situations where someone is bleeding or has a broken bone.

You have to figure that if a person is not mobile then someone is gong to need to go for help. If you are by yourself that extra bullet might ease your pain.

I carry the below along with some benadryl, Ibuprofen, tweezers, and a small mirror (long story, but it was useful one time...):

33890

I small pill bottle with this (Which burns like hell might I add...):
33891

This:
33892

And this:
33893

If I cant fix it in the field with the above items, my hunt is likely over and I am returning to the truck....

I posted my two kits here:

I think e-kits need to be customized to the person and the mission. You need a different kit walking through a square of BLM land half a mile from your truck than you do picking your way through dense timber in canyons for 2 days chasing a big bull.

I carry a cutting glove - bandaids, butterflies, lrg ace bandage (doubles as a tourniquet), blood stop gauze+sponge+granules, super glue, and some lrg non stick gauze.

Used to carry a couple sanitary napkins and tampons - always figured to stick a tampon in each side of an arrow hole and grab a few extra minutes for help to get there.
