I think I have 4 of them now! I renew my membership every time they offer the free knife. One is my edc too. I like them so much more than the Havalon.

used mine last year on my buck. Can't say I was disappointed... especially for a free knife. Dad has a havalon and wishes he had one like mine. I may renew and get a new one to give to him. Pretty light and with extra blades its a pretty impressive knife.

We are about to launch the Gift Sub promotion. Pretty cool deal with a knife, I will make sure I post it here for you guys to get a shot at.

I have, but the blade in question cost me over 200. A Ramos custom.
I'd like something less valuable when I travel.

This is exactly that, and with easily changeable blades for when more than one is on the ground in a hunting trip.

I have a havalon which I really like. Do you guys believe this knife is better? I better renew and get one. I love cleaning/cutting up deer and elk and not having to resharpen my knife!

yes, IMO the outdoor edge is better. I do hear some people say they prefer the havalon. renew and get one, nothing to lose and much to gain.

would not be opposed to trying eastmans knife though.

I had the outdoor edge that I got from eastmans (thx) in my pack this year and used it on both my buck and my cow this year and it is a big step up from the box cutters of old! Thing worked great.

I also have a havalon that I got from somewhere else. Outdoor edge is the better overall knife - stronger, bigger blade, just better overall. The havalon blades break much easier but the reason I carry one is for the fine detail that the havalon allows.

Still carry a heavy duty "real" knife as well as sometimes the job just calls for it.
