Looking for a long range rifle.

Trying to decide between Browning Long Range Hunter withcarbon fiber stock or a Weatherby Accumarck in 300 Win Mag or 7mm Rem Mag.

Both great calibers... The 7 will have touch less recoil but the 300 has more bullet options. Both will effectively take most big game at very long range if the shooter can do their part. On here you will get many opinions from guys a lot smarter than me but I would also print ballistics charts for each and compare for yourself. Really boils down to personal preferences.

Are U sit on the browning or weatherby? Cabelas has the Remington 700 long range for 699.

I have thought of Remington, wit the Browning I am concernedif I go with the 300 Win Mag, with the detachablemagazine, I will not be able to load longer 215 or 230 vld's to fit.

I prefer the tang safety, magazine (vs floor plate), and slender stock of the browning compared to the weatherby. As far as caliber I'd pick the 300wm.

I have a browning a bolt in 25-06. And I can seat the 115 bergers way out there. I no nothing about the xbolt. I would shoot the 215 in the 300 wm. The 230 in the 300 rum.

I own both along with a .264 win mag! They are both awesome you can't really go wrong with either one of them. For long range I'd custom build it. I like the predator actions, hart barrels, jewell triggers, McMillan stocks topped with a nighforce scope! It is alot $, but worth it for long range. Most long range bench shooters perfer a 7mm rem mag or a 7mm wsm with a 168 grain bullet.

I'd take a .300 Wby over the .300 Win in a heartbeat. Mine shoots less than moa out to 500 yds with 180 gr Nosler Partitions. I never have shot it on targets over 500, but have no doubt it will do the job there too.

My recent experiences with the Accumarks have left a lot to be desired, especially for the price. I wouldn't worry about the factory trigger, that'll be the first thing that needs to go.

Accumarks are overrated. Get the Browning. As for 7 RM versus 300 WM... Well, that's up to you. They're both really good.

I am a huge fan of the 30 caliber has always treated me right and my family i love my brothers browning but you may also look into a savage or remington long range my dad baught the remington long range and put a timney trigger on it last year and it is a 300 rum its a beast of a round but still has lots of options for reloading or for box retailers. Out of your two choices i would have to say the browning for sure 7mm is making a big come back in the past few years with a lot of bench shooters and long range shooters using this caliber. My only suggestion is put a great scope on this rifle and shoot it moa or you can have custom turrets made for it as well about the best bang for the buck would be vortex HS-LR FFP but who doesnt want that G7 nightforce with the G7 range finder absolutly leathel but it will cost you 2500 for the scope and 1500 for the range finder another caliber i am a huge fan of is .338 most people dont like it but its one of my favorites i shoot a 338 win mag and my father and i just came up with a new cartridge that we are building as well should be a blast. 338 rum is a beast as well

If I were u I would think about the Remington or tikka for the fact that if u ever to build a custom I think it would be a lot better to build off a rem or tikka action. Both of those caliber so are good choices. 190 Bergers for the 300 win and 168's for the 7 mag would be a great long range load.

It's hard to go wrong with either of those calibers.
I have hunted with a Remington 7mm Mag for the last 35 years and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
That being said 300 Mag has so many bullet options it is hard to beat.

Browning all the way. What's not to like? Very accurate, my a-bolt is moa to 600 yds, probably beyond though I have't tried shooting farther. Just the sound of a 30 scares me so I will stay with the 284. If I were to do over, I probably would not even go with the magnum. Like others have said, these are win win calibers.

I love my a bolt as well. 300 wsm .5" groups @ 100. 180 gr interbond with 65 gr rl-17. 3050 muzzle velocity and the gun fits me so well that it seems I can hit anything with it. Bought a nosler m48 last summer in 300 win mag and I don't like it as well as my browning
