License Increases - Bear/Lion

I had no idea that they had increased the license fees for bears and elk. Must have somehow missed this one.

Where did this even come from? No outreach, no comment period, just boom, here it is, take it or leave it?

It's like there is no rhyme or reason for these increases. It's pretty bad when even some of the CPW commissioners were caught off guard and don't understand the reason behind the increases.

License fees are increased for pretty much all species each year a variety of reasons.
CPW (normally Andy Holland, the State Big Game Manager) briefs the Commissioners on all recommended changes and associated rationale for changes to License Fee, among other things like Season Dates, License Quotas, etc, etc.
The Commissioners can and do ask questions on anything they don't understand before they vote to approve or disapprove.
The meeting are open to the public and I listen to them via Zoom.
