Drake&Bridger.jpgThe black lab is Bridger, who I inherited from my uncle when he passed away. He was born on Feb 6, 2000, and died 4 yrs ago this fall. The lab/shorthair mix is Drake, who we got at 4 weeks because his mother was too sick to nurse. He was born on Feb 4, 2000, making him 13 yrs old and change. He's been such a great dog, especially at pointing pheasants and grouse. He loves people and listens well. Except now he's pretty much deaf, and has been having some health issues. I don't think we've got much time left together. Considering his size (he's been around 90-94 lbs his whole adult life) his joints have held up well and thankfully he's not in any arthritic pain. I'm hoping he'll go in his sleep some night. Damn dogs, they steal your heart and die young.

P1000427.JPGP1000425.jpg This is Hercules (Herc) my DD and fantastic buddy and pheasant hunter. He didn't grow the long, wiry muzzle hair the breed is noted for and looks just like a GSP. He'll be 10 on 10/23.
