Picked up a Hoyt bow last spring. Been storing and shooting in my shed/outbuilding. It's winter now, wondering if I should bring the bow inside, or is it okay to keep in the shed.

Temps here in Nebraska will vary, but can get as cold as zero or below...

I'm thinking bring inside...

I would bring it inside....I left my bow out in the garage over winter while shooting and it developed rust the bolts. While this didn't affect the performance, the aesthetics of it all is sickening.

I would think long term exposure to damp cold or high extreme heat (non-use) is not good for a bow. When not in use my bows are stored indoors in a controlled environment.

I'd keep it stored inside full time. Changes in temperatures can wreck havoc on your equipment, especially the strings.

Never leave a bow in the extreme heat or extreme cold for an extended period of time.

I know a guy who left a bowtech in the trunk of his car over 4th of july weekend once. It was a scorcher that year...

When he opened the trunk on Monday the bow looked like a different brand...lol

Definitely bring inside. Hoyts are tough but long term you could have problems especially the strings will deteriorate quicker.
