It tells how the voucher system works and about transfer/purchase & how it works at license purchase.

CO doesn't make the LO draw results public (when it comes to names) which is why the brokers/facilitators/land managers get so much business from people asking the same question you are.

Best bet is to look at the draw statistics for LOs a year in advance and see the numbers who weren't able to draw the tags they applied for; you then have about a year to track down those LOs who will draw the following year and negotiate a price based on that current year's prices (unless winterkill, drought/etc). If they will draw multiples you also can try to negotiate a slightly lower cost if you can get a group together to buy them all. I will say that asking which landowners have drawn or will likely draw is about like asking someone for their honey hole. Now have to be careful as about half the vouchers will be PLO. That's likely to cause the unit-wide vouchers to increase in price and the PLO vouchers to look cheap in comparison, but may not be worth the paper they're printed on (this, of course, will depend on the unit)

If you are looking to buy a voucher for a hunt this year as in a tag then google "Colorado private land vouchers for sale" and tags fro sale will come up.

No problem, there are plenty of sites that sell Land owner vouchers on the internet. Before you buy I would pick 2 or 3 you are interested in and do some homework on the ranch they are for and the unit they are in. Call the local warden and ask what the trophy potential is like and you can check success rates for units on the Colorado DOW website. If you don't do your homework you could end up with a turd of a tag!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but most outfitters have already negotited with the land owner to buy his vouchers before the land owner draws. If the land has some good deer and elk on it then you will pay thru the nose for them. Be wary of actual landowners selling tags. The hunting may not be that great and even the outfitters didn't want to take the chance. Most landowners are pretty busy and don't need the hassle of managing their land during the deer and elk seasons, that is why they sell to an outfitter and let them police his land. This is more for the eastern plains deer but it is probably true for how it happens in most areas.

lol, it's only asking for the honey hole if a person requests LO names. :D Just wanting to buy one isn't a crime. There will be some tags not advertised that are sitting idle while the regular buyers figure out their plans for the year.
