A proposal in the Senate to sell off certain federal lands in 11 western states is facing hurdles in Congress. The Senate parliamentarian blocked the provision for being outside the scope of what's allowed in the 'big, beautiful bill.'
And when this is all done one way or the other that jack*** Mike Lee needs to be voted out of office.
That is if we're even allowed to have elections by the dictator in office.
Senate Parliamentarian Greenlights Public Lands Sale Bill
It's time to really work the phones for public lands.
This afternoon, the Senate Parliamentarian cleared Senator Mike Lee's public land sales bill for inclusion in the full Senate budget, deeming it compliant with the Byrd Rule. This was a major hurdle that now makes the threat of large-scale public lands sale more real than ever.
Senator Lee's proposal would mandate the sale of up to 1.2 million acres of BLM land across 11 Western states - including Idaho - over the next 10 years. Parcels given the highest priority for sale would be those with the "highest value". That would include many of our most cherished hunting and fishing spots.
It is now more critical than ever that we contact our Senators and tell them how much these places mean to us. Thank them for supporting public lands. Ask them to vote no on any bill containing public lands sales, and to support an amendment to strip public lands sales from the budget. Your voice is needed, and it's needed today. “
Sounds like we need to call and write our representatives and tell them this is a horrible idea.
