Well I'm pumped. I got my new bow today. After half heartedly looking through most of 2013 for a new bow and seriously looking for the last 2 months I finally pulled the trigger. I spent yesterday and today at the local archery shop.....again shooting bows. I think I have shot every 2013 and 2014 model bow that Prime, Elite, Hoyt, Bear, PSE, and Bowtech makes at least 4 or 5 times.

I am now the proud owner of a 2014 PSE Dream Season DNA SP in Skullworks Camo. I had a hard time picking between the Elite Energy 32, Prime Alloy, and the PSE. After shooting all of these bows I really like how smooth the PSE drew back, how little shot shock and vibration I noticed, and how quiet it was. It was tough to choose between these bows, but in the end this one felt best to me.

Now I need to get it set-up and finish tuning it before elk and deer season......I can't wait. I might have to take it Coyote hunting with me or something just so I can take it out. :D

Congrats on the new bow, there is nothing like getting a new toy to tinker with and get shooting good. I should have my Hoyt Faktor Turbo in about a week, I can't wait!

I bought my first PSE last year and I absolutely love it. It's a 2012 model. I was impressed on how smooth it is to draw and how light it is. Congrats on your new one. You won't regret going with a PSE.

Congrats on the new bow. I just picked up a new Hoyt Charger. Verry good price On these I thought. My old Hoyt is 8 years old and served me well. Im keeping it for my back up. Cant hardly wait till warm weather so I can start shooting!

Congrats W2H.....you did it exactly the right way. Take your time and shoot as many bows as possible and the bow will tell you which one to buy. Great choice too. Good luck!!

Thanks guys. I've been slowly getting it broken in and tuned up. I figure I got about 300 arrows through it already. Now I need to finish sighting it in.

Congrats on your new bow! I'm curious to know of all the bows you shot and compared. Did you shoot any of the Mathew models? Just being I am a Mathews Bow guy. I would like to know what you thought or how these models compared to a Mathews. I'm always open minded and willing to learn more about equipment!

Dan,
I did shoot a couple Mathews' bows. I shot the Creed, Chill, and Heli. However, my local Mathews dealer is only a Mathews dealer so I wasn't able to compare against the Elite, Prime, Bowtech, Hoyt, PSE, and Bear bows I shot at the other shop.

My biggest issue with the Mathews' bows was the backwall. I like a hard backwall and don't want to feel and give or spongyness.

I hear what your saying bout the "Back Wall"...I have the Z-7 Extreme. I did shoot the Creed..I think this bow has that solid back wall. But I couldn't justify getting rid of my bow for the Creed. Not a big enough difference ..in my opinion. Thank you for your thoughts! Hunt hard and shoot straight!! You will do great with your set up!
